Tim LaHaye and Ed Hinson's collaboration has produced another very good and solid book on the end times. This hard-bound edition contains discussions on topics that are arranged in alphabetical order so it is easy to browse through subjects that are discussed. At a quick glance, you will be able to locate very good Bible commentary on the specific end time events that will be occurring. This is a recommended reference book for readers who want to have a solid grasp on the topic. This book is one of my personal favorites and I refer to it quite often in my studies on end times.

6. "Prince of Darkness" by Grant Jeffrey
Detailed and easy-to-understand are what best describe this jewel by Grant Jeffrey. Through this 350-page paperback, the author manages to accomplish the hefty task of informing readers about the bible's revelations and explaining these in terms in understandable to everyone. These are not the only traits that I admire of Jeffrey. He also went further by touching on the New World Order and writing about the things we as a people are experiencing as well as the events that are yet to come. He puts forth these assertions and connects these to elements that will allow that Antichrist to build a platform with which it can start its sinister work. My verdict? This is a personal favorite and lands one the top 10 list of must-reads for someone seeking understanding about his faith. Likewise, it is useful for students of this field and even for the curious ones.
7. "The Jerusalem Countdown" by John Hagee
Pastor, author and Bible teacher John Hagee has produced an interesting book about Iran. The country has become known as the next major world threat with their intentions of producing nuclear weapons. Mr. Hagee includes talking about his ties with some of the high-ranking leaders in Israel. He also provides a good insight on what the world does not see inside the governments of Iran and Israel. The book has been selling very well, which I noticed in bookstores I frequently visit. This book has excellent and up to date information on the crisis that is building in the Middle East region.
8. "101 Most Asked Questions About the End Times" by Mark
Hitchcock
Few people are considered authorities on the subject of end times. Mark Hitchcock is one them. In one of his latest works, he tries a different and - undoubtedly - more effective approach in tackling a subject of great interest to almost everyone. Hitchcock displays his expertise in the field by answering frequently asked questions about the end of days. As such, he explains and helps readers understand points they consider most important.
9. "Iran: The Coming Crisis" by Mark Hitchcock
How did we get here? Why are we even talking about marching to Iran? Or to be blunt, what's the big fuss over Iran? The endless headlines about Iran gives us a sense that much is riding on our ties, or lack of it, with this Asian country. However, many of us remain in the dark about this conflict. "Thus Saith the Lord" by John Bevere
As the people are informed about the gift of prophecy and the prophets, they should also be warned about the untold harm, misery and torment brought about by people who utter false prophecies. People should be lured away from churches or people who give false prophecies, which do not come from the Lord. There are rules to any game and you have to know the rules of the prophetic game so you do not get duped into following a false Word from the Lord.
The author, John Bevere, explains the flip side to this gift and gives real life experiences. He talks about people who follow a false word by a false prophet or by a prophet who has made a mistake. This book should be read by all pastors and anyone else who believes in the gift of prophecy.
People who who do not know how to judge a word given to them by a prophet have married the wrong people and have taken up the jobs that wrong for them.
On a scale of 1-10, this book is a solid 10 - especially in the end times we are now living in where the Bible tells us that that false teachers and false prophets will be coming our way. To be forewarned is to be properly armed.
"Prophets and Personal Prophecies" by Bill Hamon
This book is a volume 1 of a 3 volume set by this author who is also a recognized prophet in the Body of Christ. The author has written 3 fascinating and highly informative volumes on those who have been called to walk in this gift by the Lord. There are actually 3 volumes that tackle on the development of the Lord's prophets as well as how people with the same calling should respond and deal with such gift. Hamon has been known to have learned a lot about the various trial and errors he has gone through in this personal journey.
This man has learned much through trial and error in his own personal life with this gift - and his knowledge and expertise in this area can really help speed up your personal growth in this area if you have been called by the Lord to walk in this gift and office.
The other two volumes are:
a) "Prophets and the Prophetic Movement, Vol. 2 - God's Prophetic Move Today
b) "Prophets Pitfalls and Principles: God' Prophetic People Today
For budding and developing prophets, these three volumes are recommended together with "Developing Your Prophetic Gifting" written by Graham Cooke. Written by Mr. Charles Swindoll, this book revolves around the life of Paul, believed to be one of the greatest apostles of the New Testament. This book provides you the basic facts of Paul's journey as well as adventures with the Lord. Like all other bestsellers, there is certainly much to learn from this personal story as well as his interactions with the Lord. Ordinary people can certainly find a lot of learnings that can be incorporated in our own personal journey with the Lord.
"David: A Man of Passion and Destiny" by Charles Swindoll
Revered as one of the greatest kings of Israel, King David's life is narrated by Mr. Swindoll in this book. God gave King David two of the highest compliments one could ever have: one is when He said that David was a man after His own heart. The other compliment is that David will obey God's will for his life. Aside from relating the main parts of the king's life, the author also tells how he ended up as one of the greatest saints in the OT.
"Handbook of Todays' Religions" by Josh McDowell
This reference book provides basic information on the major false religions and the different occult groups and the New Age Movement. Also described in this volume provides a wealth of information and knowledge on the other topics like atheism, Marxism and secular humanism. The book provides knowledge for people to be aware of the type of world we live in wherein people could easily fall prey to groups or ideas that could be demonic in nature.
"Sparkling Gems From the Greek" by Rick Renner
This book is an excellent daily devotional. Rick Renner is one of the very best teachers in the Body of Christ. In this gem of a book, he has a specific teaching for every day of the week. What is unique in his teaching style is that he will translate words from the original Greek that the New Testament was written in.
So as to help readers understand the specific words being used in each of the Scripture verses, 1,000 in-depth Greek word studies aside from the 365 daily devotions are provided in the book. The author discusses different topics in this anointed book that you can't go wrong with this compilation of solid biblical teachings. It is in the Bible that we grow in knowledge and grace of the Lord. The reader will definitely experience spiritual growth if one meditates on the preacher's teachings and writings.

This particular book has easily become a national bestseller and has effortlessly stirred the interest of bookworms all over the world. Joel Osteen has earned an impeccable reputation of being one of the most highly regarded writers of his generation and an authority on biblical teachings. He has shown exceptional proficiency in his knowledge, and is leading on of the biggest churches in the United States today.
I know some have criticized him as being too seeker-sensitive in some of his sermons, but I believe this man is truly anointed by the Lord and this book will give you much practical, down-to-earth knowledge and wisdom on how to get the most out of your life in the Lord with what He is calling you to do for Him.
"God's Generals: Why They Succeeded" by Roberts Liardon
For those of you who would like to learn about some of the saints in the past who have walked with higher levels of the anointing such as Smith Wigglesworth, Kathryn Kuhlmann, Aimee Semple Mcpherson and Marie Woodworth-Etter - this book will give you all of the basic fact of their ministries, how they all got started and some of the incredible things that had occurred in their ministries for the Lord.
This book contains stories about how they journeyed with God and how they learned how to walk with some of the highest levels of the anointing. Aside from their successes in their respective ministries, their failures are also sources of lessons to learn from. This is the only book I know that goes into very good basic detail into all of these people's lives.
"The Holy Spirit" by Billy Graham
This is yet another good and solid book that primarily centers on the Holy Spirit, written from one of the greatest evangelist of all time, Billy Graham. In this book, he discusses about the nine gifts and the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit and also shows how the Holy Spirit convicts and leads sinners back to the Lord to achieve eternal salvation. This book becomes one of the most influential books that will help ordinary people in the journey in this thing we all call life.
"Maximizing the Moment: God's Action Plan for Your Life" by T. D. Jakes
One of the greatest pastors and teachers of today, T.D. Jakes, is a truly gifted speaker. This is especially true to those who watched him preach on TV in the area of motivating the saints to become everything that God is calling them to become in Him in this life. Jakes is one of the most intense speakers of our time.
This book goes into very good detail on how to maximize with whatever God is calling you to do for Him in this life. He covers how to get released from your hurtful past and how to face and overcome obstacles and roadblocks that will come your way once you fully submit to God and start to walk in the divine destiny that He has set up for your life.

"Revelation Unveiled" By Tim LaHaye
This book is the best I have seen from Tim LaHaye to-date. Aside from the end time events that lead up to the second coming of Jesus to earth, LaHaye shows what will happen in the 1,000-year millennium kingdom when Jesus will literally rule this earth from the city of Jerusalem. Also provided are the details of the final ending, the New Heaven and New Earth. This is one of the best books on the topic. I can't recommend this particular book highly enough.
"The End Times Controversy" by Tim LaHaye
Tim has written another good book on end times, but this one is to answer some of the critics who have a hard time in interpreting the Bible from more of a literal point of view. There is a big debate whether or not there will be a rapture, whether or not a real antichrist will really come, etc. Tim answers many of these questions in this book. Highly recommend this book if you want answers to some of the debates going on with this topic.

"King James Version Bible Commentary" by Ed Hindson
As far as all of the different Bible commentaries that are out there - I believe this one to be one of the absolute best. Even though it is only dealing with the King James Version of the Bible, you can still use this even if you like some of the other different translations. This book will literally interpret every single verse of the Bible for you and does so in a very easy-to-understand manner. I have several different Bible commentaries, but this is the first one I will always go to when I need a good explanation on what a particular Scripture verse may mean. I simply cannot recommend this particular commentary high enough.
"The Hayford Bible Handbook" by Jack Hayford
When a respected Bible scholar and teacher writes a reference book on the Scriptures, I always take note and check out his work. After going through the product of another highly respected authority on the subject, Jack Hayford, I can say that his is an absolute marvel because it interprets every line in the Scripture in the first half. The other part of the book concentrates on definitions, commentaries and explanations for key words and phrases in the Holy Book. In this reference guide, Hayford conveys the depth of his knowledge and understanding about the topic. Doing so benefits readers, especially beginners who are not so familiar with the Bible stories.
"Tyndale Bible Dictionary" by Walter Elwell
This is an exceptional Bible dictionary as it contains the basic definition of each main words found in Scripture. This book, which is 1,332 pages thick, also provides commentary on many of the words to enable the reader to have a full grasp of their meaning. Maps are provided at the end of the book so it would be easy to visualize the events that are narrated in the Bible. This is just another good solid Bible dictionary.
"Believer's Bible Commentary" by Arthur Farstad
This is another good basic Bible commentary, interpreting every line of Scripture for you. Presented in a very nice and easy-to-read format. It is 2383 pages long. I use this side by side with the King James Version Bible Commentary mentioned above as it is good to have several Bible commentaries when looking up the meaning of different Scripture verses.
"Holman's Concise Bible Commentary" by David Dockery
This one may be shorter and more concise, but it's as important as the other books I have mentioned earlier. Despite its brevity, it manages to dish out very good commentaries on the main verses from the Scriptures. This is among the Bible commentaries that I keep in my library, and its proving to be more and more useful everyday.
